My Own Glow
I want to be bioluminescent. Go unnoticed during the day, but shine like I swallowed the moon at night. Read books in the dark like a radiant monk, by light emanating from my body. When needed, mark a trail like an illuminated blue mushroom-footlight through a black forest. Light my own way like a translucent lantern, when I trawl deep waters. Glow and wiggle underground, converting dirt to soil while I worm through earth, digging labyrinths of my own design. I want to be one of many fireflies blinking a yellowed code as we ascend and mingle with stars.

Utterly marvelous!
Namaste!
